Under Pressure
Week 12-14
Animation&Rendering & Editing

Progress
In Weeks 12 ,13 and 14, we rendered scenes and character animation simultaneously to increase efficiency. Evelyn and Angelina spent their time animating the two main characters' performances, refining body mechanics and ensuring that their performances matched the storyboard and narrative tone. Meanwhile, Janis and Nicole worked on scene lighting and continued to expand the museum and diamond room by adding more detailed models and props to enhance the visual setting.
Once both teams completed significant portions of their work, we began combining the finished character animations and completed environments to create final shots. These were ready to render. During the early rendering stages, we experienced frequent setbacks in the form of missing UVs on small objects, causing us to re-render certain shots. This issue consumed a great deal of time and turned into a chronic issue in our pipeline.
In the final week leading up to completion, rendering was our highest priority. Two or three members were on campus nearly every day to oversee the process, troubleshoot any last-minute issues, and ensure that each shot was rendered in the highest quality available. By the end of Week 13, we had a complete set of rendered shots ready for final editing and compositing.
