Week 4
Storyline

Progress

In Week 4, we focused on refining the storyline by taking out any excess parts and being more concise about the settings and locations of the story — narrowing down the list of possible locations to include, to figuring out which ones will actually be used in the animation.
Additionally, we revamped the character designs to fit the mood and tone of the song we chose for our music video (version 2) editing the colours and clothes slightly.
Splitting up all the work into small jobs such as website management, ideation, sketching, inspiration research, all team members participated through, surfing Pinterest and sharing possible inspiration images, discussing possible ideas to strengthen the theme of our team and animation, coming up with different versions of character concept sketches, and updating the website — and making it look pretty!
Having refined the storyline adequately, we got started on the storyboard, deciding which scenes should go first and which scenes to go next, discussion about camera angles, lightings, colours, architectural layouts (for when 3D modelling), scene time and pacing, etc.
Last but not least, corresponding changes were made to the websites, images from Pinterest and descriptions of the character and environmental sketches. Polishing the website by finding the most optimal image layouts and text formatting.
